Ngl during my rewatch when I got to S3 and saw Pharos, I wasn’t sure if he lived or died afterwards, but I guess Aaravos had to preserve him for a later use 😭

Pharos is Aaravos Marionette, someone on YouTube had the same thought as me and they made a video. If thats still true Miyana and Karim just gave Aaravos an Army.

yall I just realized that since sol regem is still blind and Pharos was supposed to be his eyes and Pharos was the one possessed by Aaravos, sol regem possibly had no idea that he was destroying katolis and not the Sunfire armies

Still kinda funny that Aaravos had a Sunfire mage who he could apparently fully posses in his back pocket for two fucking years and apparently did not much of anything with him for that whole period? Poor Pharos appears to have just been, what, living in the desert? And instead of using him to, idk, help Claudia find and break himself out of his magic prison, he instead used him to fuck with the Sunfire elves. because screw the Sunfire elves in particular apparently. to be fair he does use him to good effect to destroy Katolis and free his prison up to be found by Claudia but that’s still multiple years of this poor elf knocking about doing fuck all until he becomes a dragon chew toy. ​actually for that matter how much of Pharos’s mind was his own for that whole period. did he come back to himself for a moment of agonised perplexity when he found himself in the Sun King’s mouth with no idea how he got there before his god chewed him up and choked on him?

It`s Ezran and Corvus! Who were captured by Miyana and Karim somehow. And do the sunfire soldiers look kinda corrupted too? Like Viren did with his army?

Sol comes swooping in, eyes not healed....but his wings are, and Idk about y'all but his red accents looks darker than they used to be? Corrupted even?

That 100% Phaaravos. Formely Pharos, but that dark glow he has is kinda a bad sign.

When I imagine Aditi getting swallowed by Aaravos, I just imagine that scene from The Great Mouse Detective where the drunk mouse gets eaten by the cat and we just see that shadow, but like, a little more comedic then that.

Like I just want them to be in a middle of a fight, have her talking his ear off and maybe be faced away from him, and then we just see Aaravos like stare her down from behind for a couple of moments and just suddenly grab her and dangle her in his fingers above his head while she starts yelling at him to put her down and not even registering what’s about to happen. And then we just cut to the sight of a shadow of Aaravos opening his mouth and then that’s that.

Anyways, that is all to say, I really hope he does legitimately swallow her and doesn’t do some other magic thing with her.

Okay uhhhhh had to go back to the Karim plots of Season 5 once I realized Aaravos was using Pharos as a vessel the whole time and. Oh GOD everything makes so much more sense now.

Super excited to see the Sunfire Civil War go all out!!

While I never really believed in the whole "Pharos will free Aaravos" bit, watching how strongly some people argued that Callum would be the one to release Aaravos, insisting that Pharos would have no involvement at all, and then seeing that Pharos is actually more involved than Callum freeing Aaravos, is just so beautiful.

TDP rewatch note:

In S5E5, while Karim and Pharos are waiting for Kim'dael to appear, Pharos gets nervous and tries to dissuade Karim from employing the huntress. While doing so, he rubs the side of his neck -- right over the caterpillar bite. It could just be a nervous habit anymore, but maybe it is significant. It would be interesting, if Aaravos somehow perceived where his agent was, and nudged Pharos to say those words because Kim'dael would/could mess up the Startouch elf's plans.
